STOP GEORGIA POWER FROM BUILDING SUBSTATION IN CHAMBLEE

In order to effectively communicate your opposition to the proposed electric substation by Georgia Power, it is extremely important that each of you express your opposition in your own words. A detailed statement outlining your reasons for opposing the substation or simply the words "I oppose the construction of an electric substation at the corner of Ashford Dunwoody Road and Perimeter Summit Parkway by Georgia Power" would be appropriate.

We simply need your words as well as your contact information. This is important, if it is to have credibility to our elected officials and the executive staff of Georgia Power. This is your chance to SPEAK OUT and tell Georgia Power and your elected officials how you really feel.

Suggested wording: "The construction of an electrical substation is inconsistent with the residential nature of the area and will negatively impact the surrounding communities and neighborhoods. I believe that Georgia Power can and should locate the substation in a commercial or industrial area, where there will be significantly fewer negative consequences and which is more suitable for this project. Therefore I strongly oppose the construction of the proposed substation."

Speak Out

A compiled petition with your individual comment will be presented to your local and state representatives to let them know that you want them to tell Georgia Power NO to their request to build a new Power Substation in your neighborhood.
